Queenstown is the adrenaline capital of New Zealand, offering everything from bungy jumping to white water rafting and mountain biking.
Queenstown is surrounded by Eyre and Hector Mountains and at the centre of a Lake Wakatipu. However even with this incredible backdrop, to me, Queenstown didn’t have the same jaw dropping landscape of Wanaka as it is rather built up and compact with hotels, restaurants and tourist shops.
Queenstown is known for its tourism, but each activity will cost you, but many people think it is worth the adrenaline buzz that each adventure has to offer. Without jumping out of a plane or off a mountain, you can see the views of Queenstown by heading up the skyline gondola throughout the day or walking up the route to the top of Bob’s Peak. Once up at the top you can sit back and visit the cafe and restaurant or have a go on the luge, which is well worth it.
