Hanoi coffee

Coffee and Vietnam are synonymous. You can’t go through the day without smelling, tasting or seeing coffee. Instead of the chains of coffee shops like the UK, you get secret hidden stores 2-3 floors up from the street level.
We were recommended to try an authentic local coffee from Cafe Pho Co. It is apparently the bektept secret in Hanoi, but when we arrived there was quite a few western tourist waiting for a drink (clearly not that secret!).

Cafe Pho Co is hidden from the street, but can be found on top of one of the many clothes shop via a spiral staircase just off the lake in Hanoi. But with all the effort to find this place, the coffee is a hit…even though they didn’t serve it with the usual aluminium top!

A traditional black coffee is called caphe den or with a richness of condensed milk with the coffee it is called caphe sua da.IMG_6482.JPG
