Pai, Thailand

With a 3 hour windy journey out of Chaing Mai through the forest and National Parks of Thailand you reach the famous laid back town of Pai. When I say laid back try going back to 60-70s UK, where no one has a care in the world. For a busy couple of weeks, Pai is a perfect getaway to laze around all day. But a must to party the night away and have a go on a scooter.

Scooters are the only real way to travel in Pai, yes you can walk but with 100bht/ day who can really say no. Even being a bit ‘special’ on the bike at first, you can pick it up rather quickly- especially when the roads are so easy.
Travelling by scooters you can pop and see the waterfalls, elephants, sunsets, paddy fields, hot springs, hill tribes, canyons and great coffee shops- well it is surrounded by coffee plantations!
