Golden Mount, Bangkok

Figuring out what to so in Bangkok isn’t the easiest thing to do, especially when your short of time and no idea where to start. Yes there are many tuk tuks and taxis trying to get you in them, but by foot can be (is) the best way to really understand Bangkok ( unless it’s miles away).

The first attraction we visited was what had been described as ‘being a brisk walk to’. But there is no way I could brisk walk to the top of the Golden Mount in this humid and hot September weather. 20140916-170936-61776295.jpg

In reality there are endless steps that wind around a hill thorough trees and some statues, to the top of what it called the Golden Mount.

But don’t get put off, as at the very top you can see 360oC views of Bangkok as well as a large Buddha relic and small stupa which so built by Rama IV and Rama V.
